Sound bites from this episode:
“Back pain in pregnancy is very common and most people will experience it at some point. The first thing to know about back pain is it can be to do with the change of your posture.”
“We use magnesium more when we’re sick or stressed, and we just need to replenish it. So a really great way to replenish magnesium is through a bath with Epsom salts, because Epsom salts are magnesium and the skin is really great at absorbing magnesium through this way.”
“In countries like Japan, everyone sits basically on the floor. So benches are basically floor height. Tables are very low to the floor. People sit on cushions on the floor, and then individuals are doing squats multiple times a day to get up off of the floor.”
“If you have been doing all of these things and it’s still problematic for you, then it might be that seeing someone like an osteopath would be beneficial. So I love an osteopath who does craniosacral osteopathy. So that’s the more gentle form of osteopathy. It works on a deeper level, but it’s more gentle on the body, so it’s gentler on the nervous system.”
