Pregnancy Support Tailored to You
Feel confident. Feel prepared. Feel like you again.
Pregnancy is supposed to be a magical time, right?
But maybe right now, it feels more like a never-ending list of things to figure out.
Which birth class to take.
Which hospital or home birth option to plan for.
What’s “normal” and what’s not.
What your body is doing.
And how on earth you’re meant to prepare for giving birth and becoming a parent at the same time.
You’re not alone.
And you don’t have to figure it all out on your own (in fact, you were never meant to).

Hey there!
I’m Candy Elsbeth, founder of Nourishing Birth and Beyond, and I’m here to help you cut through the noise and come back to what matters:
Feeling calm, capable, and confident as you prepare to birth your baby in a way that feels right for you.

ToggleYou're in the right place if:
→ You want to feel prepared—not panicked—when labour begins.
→ You’re craving solid, evidence-based knowledge but also want space to connect with your intuition.
→ You’d love your birth partner to know exactly how to support you.
→ You want to learn how to work with your body, not against it.
→ You’re ready to feel empowered—not overwhelmed—about what’s ahead.
→ You want to prepare for birth in a way that’s perfect for you (not some one-size-fits-all solution)

Let’s be real. So much of what we see around birth is either dramatised or fear-fuelled. If the only birth stories you’ve heard are horror stories, of course you’re anxious. If you’ve never even held a newborn before, how are you supposed to feel ready to birth one?
Does any of this sound familiar?
- Anxious about pain or the unknowns of labour
- Confused by conflicting advice from friends, books, midwives, and the internet
- Worried about losing control or not knowing what to expect
- Fears that you’re not going to be able to handle any of it
- Frustrated by birth classes that don’t really teach you what to do
- Unsupported or unsure how your birth partner fits into all this
You deserve better!

Here's how I can help
I offer realistic, honest, and supportive pregnancy education that helps you understand how birth works and what you can do to feel confident and in control. I work with my clients 1:1 as well as through in-person classes, and online courses.
My approach is bespoke to every family because your bodies, beliefs, needs, and preferences are unique and so your approach to birth should be, too.
Here are some of the things we can work on:
→ Understanding exactly how your body and hormones are designed to support birth, so that you can harness your inherent abilities to birth your baby rather than working against them (this is the real magic!)
→ Learn practical massage and touch techniques for your birth partner so they feel confident supporting you through labour in ways that actually help the process along.
→ Develop a toolkit of techniques and practices, including breathwork, visualisation, yoga-based movement, and relaxation, that will support your body through every phase of pregnancy and labour.
→ Practice natural techniques that support relaxation and ease discomfort during labour.
→ And vitally: how to create the right environment—mentally, emotionally, and physically—for a positive birth experience.
Let's do this together!
